My Role:
Sculpting
Fabrication
Carpentry
Painting

At Macy’s Studios, I bring larger-than-life designs to fruition, leveraging expertise in foam sculpting, painting, and carpentry. My role involves transforming conceptual drawings into three-dimensional structures that are stable, functional, and visually striking. Some of my key contributions include work on the new floats Rao’s Homemade Pasta Knight, Netflix: Wednesday’s Feast, and Bronx Zoo: Wonderous World of Wildlife.

As a native New Yorker, contributing to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was a deeply personal experience. Playing a role in a tradition that unites millions and celebrates the magic of my hometown was profoundly meaningful and unforgettable.!

As a creative contributor, I played a key role in shaping floats for the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which reached a record 31.3 million U.S. viewers via NBC and Peacock and was broadcast to over 50 countries, cementing its status as one of the most-watched live events in the world.

Rao’s Homemade Pasta Knight
Corporate Partner: Campbell’s, Rao’s Homemade

For the Rao’s Homemade Marinara float, I had the privilege of sculpting the intricate side panels and the bowl of spaghetti surrounding the iconic Pasta Knight. Working on the panels allowed me to refine my skills as a fine-detail artist, utilizing the bas-relief method to create dimensional, architectural elements that seamlessly complemented the float’s design.

The Pasta Knight’s bowl was the largest piece I sculpted at the parade studio, completed in just four days with the support of three other talented sculptors. This project was an exciting challenge, bringing together a central storytelling element that became a highlight of the float.

For Netflix's Wednesday’s Feast, I contributed to the fabrication and scenic dressing of the rotten vegetable elements that captured the float’s darkly whimsical aesthetic.

This year’s parade marked the debut of the Bronx Zoo float, a first-of-its-kind design featuring three connected float beds bridged together. I contributed to the dressing and natural scenery that represented three distinct biomes, posing a unique and rewarding challenge.
